Rivkah Lubitch is a rabbinic court pleader and staff member with the Center for Women's Justice. She writes an (almost) weekly column that is published in ynet:yahadut--yediot ahronot's internet site (previously published in nrg:yahadut). Conditional Marriage: What would you do if your husband were a vegetable?

While we're still licking our war wounds, Rivkah Lubitch once again tackles the impossible and insists on reminding us of something that we would all rather not think about. What would happen if God forbid your husband fell captive, or was injured and became a “vegetable”? What would you do then?

2. Bound and Chained: Why would a haredi (ultra-Orthodox) woman refuse to hear her case in a rabbinic court?

In accordance with its coalition agreements the Justice Ministry is trying to pass legislation expanding the authority of the rabbinical courts to additional areas. Rivkah Lubitch describes how dangerous that will be.
